I haven’t taken these rings off since I got them. (Nialaya)… Yes, I’m sweating.
I know it seems excessively egocentric to post a headshot, (I mean, this is literally just a photo of my face), but I LOOOOVE all the taxis captured in the background. Such a cool shot by Taylor Donohue. I have a love affair with NYC, so just accept it.
And honestly, I’m pretty sure that in the thesaurus, the word “blog” is synonymous with narcissism.
I had to suck in a lot for these photos.
Grey pearls on one side…
Random rose gold backing on the other side…
I’ve followed Danielle Bernstein‘s WeWoreWhat.com for ages… and I know bloggers can often seem unapproachable & aloof (I mean, OBVS, these girls are stunning with incredible closets; and their Instagrams make me want to crawl under a rock and make besties with whatever centipede will have me). But Danielle was so personable, kind… and real. Basically, I wanted to scoop her up and take her to a bottomless bloody mary brunch (where I would obviously hope/assume she’d get buzzed enough to hand over her wardrobe).
Ughhhh, I’m seriously missing NYC… like, a lot. Just looking at the cobble stone streets and taxis in the background of my photos makes me feel major FOMO (which I feel like I’m normally immune to, as I subscribe to JOMO aka Joy of Missing Out). SOUPS excited to say I’ll be back in a month for a special quick trip. Anyway, this outfit y’all. I saw this skirt on the rack, and was all over it. Yes, it’s tight, and you can’t get Taco Bell late at night while wearing it, but it is just plain gorgeous. I love the sheer mixed with the extra fabric detailing on the side. I just feel like there are million things you could pair it with. An oversized sweater and booties when it’s cool out? Yes, please.
And can I just sign off by saying I love mixing and matching unintended pieces? Please see: standard grey pearl earrings with one random rose gold backing. I totally suggest you take a good look at your jewelry box and see if you have any earrings or pieces that you could mix and match unexpectedly. Style is always personal, so switch it up! 🙂
