On this episode of Straight Up With Stassi, Rachael O’Brien joins for a chat about cheaters, murderers, and the latest Khloe Kardashian scandal.
“You don’t piss one of the most influential families in the world.”
“It was a day like any other day,” Stassi begins. “It was February 19th.”
“Do you remember where you were when the world stopped turning?” Rachael asks.
“Yes, I was driving, it was Tuesday, and all of the sudden I was like, ‘Why do I have so many group chat messages? What’s happening? I discovered Tristan Thompson and Jordan Woods cheated behind Khloe’s back,” Stassi says. “If you have been living under a rock and don’t know anything about this, quickly: Tristan Thompson is Khloe’s boyfriend/baby daddy who already cheated on her three days before she gave birth. So we already knew he was a piece of shit.”
“I didn’t actually even know she took him back,” Rachael says.
“Yeah, she did, she said, ‘I need to work through this for the sake of my child that was just born,'” Stassi explains. “Listen, I have no idea what it’s like to give birth to a kid and then have to make that decision. Literally, no judgement in trying to make that work.”
“I would probably judge her now if she took him back,” Rachael says.
“100%. Khloe, don’t do that to us, girl,” Stassi says. “So she took him back, and Jordan Woods is Kylie Jenner’s best friend, who is basically a seventh Kardashian because she’s been around for so long. She lives with Kylie Jenner. Khloe has put her as a model in all of her Good American campaigns. Kylie Jenner gave her lip kits. Like, literally, they made Jordan Woods a thing. She has over 8 million followers.”
“Jesus,” Rachael says. “Do you know her backstory? Did she come from a wealthy family?”
“Yeah, she comes from a wealthy family, so it’s not like she’s going to be in a cardboard box under a freeway,” Stassi says. “She deserves it, at least for a week. Khloe was like her big sister, and she cheated with Jordan.”
“In my opinion, I’m like, ‘How stupid do you have to be?’ That is the dumbest thing you can do,” Rachael says. “I wonder if she was really drunk or something and didn’t know…”
“Now there’s things coming out today, like, ‘Have they been having a month-long affair?'” Stassi explains.
“Her whole life is going to be over for a while,” Rachael says.
“Oh, yeah, no one’s going to fucking want to be around that ho. No one’s going to want to hire her. Are you kidding me?” Stassi says. “When I tweeted the other day, a lot of people were like, ‘Why are you just blaming Jordan?’ I’m like, ‘I’m not, I already tweeted about Tristan a year ago.’ That’s like my little sister’s friend hooking up with Beau. Are you out of your mind? Everything about this is so fucked up. I have a theory, because a lot of people are like, ‘Why would she just destroy what everyone has given her?’ I think maybe she’s had to be on the sidelines for so long, and Kylie is this billionaire almost, they’re such this giant thing, it’s almost like her getting a little something of it.”
“Maybe she thought it was going to make her more famous or something,” Rachael agrees. “But you don’t piss one of the most influential families in the world.”
“I think that is a good telltale sign.”
“We need to list some telltale signs for listeners on how to spot a cheater,” Stassi suggests.
“I think I have one,” Rachael says. “This has happened to me the two times that I was cheated on. I mean, I was probably cheated on more than that, who knows. I’m still not sure if John cheated on me or not, and he was like this, too. Every person who has ever cheated on me came on very strong very early on in the relationship. They wanted to date me right away.”
“Oh, this actually makes sense to me,” Stassi says.
“I don’t know how those two things necessarily correlate, but it’s happened to me every time,” Rachael says.
“Wait, Rachael, literally me too,” Stassi says. “Every single person that I’ve dated that’s been like that right away, been like, full force, we’re together, they’ve cheated. Even Patrick. Patrick came on full force, I moved to fucking New York, and as I was packing up my things for us to move back to L.A. — we signed the lease for our L.A. apartment, everything was done. The day I’m moving, I’m on his computer and a message pops up from a chick who he had told me he had gone out with once or twice before he met me. She won ‘America’s Next Top Model.’ Her name was Laura James. She was following me, so she knew we were in a relationship. She was following us. She even started following the hotels we were staying in when we went on vacation.”
“What do you mean she would follow the hotels?” Rachael asks. “That’s really creepy.”
“She’d follow them on Twitter,” Stassi says. “I did so much stalking when I found this out. So I saw messages between them that were basically sext messages. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m literally about to go to the airport in an hour, I’m moving…'”
“What did you do?” Rachael interrupts. “My stomach just dropped.”
“I’m starting Season 3, I gave up everything to move to New York, and now we’re going back to L.A., I can’t afford this whole entire apartment by myself,” Stassi recalls. “All of his stuff is already packed and shipped there. His job is moving there. What do I do? So I called him. He was on air at the time. I called his producer and I was like, ‘You tell him to get off air right fucking now and get to this apartment.’ He left the show, he was like, ‘I’m sorry, there’s an emergency,’ and he came and I pretty much beat him up and sobbed. I was like, ‘I don’t even know what to do with you. You’ve now locked me into this situation where we’re going to live together in L.A. in this apartment and you did this? You were doing this?'”
“What did he say?” Rachael asks.
“‘I’m so sorry, I just felt like you were betraying me by going back to Vanderpump Rules.’ Literally, that’s what he said,” Stassi remembers.
“What a manipulative fuck,” Rachael says.
“So fucking manipulative,” Stassi agrees. “I felt so down on myself that that’s probably why I never really told anyone. I was so ashamed.”
“You were in a tough situation,” Rachael says. “See, that’s where you sort of forgive because you’re like, ‘I don’t know how to get out of this situation now.'”
“It was the worst. And then, six months later, I went to a red carpet event, and she was there. I wanted to die,” Stassi recalls. “But yeah, so, I think that is a good telltale sign if someone comes on strong.”
“But I don’t know how that correlates,” Rachael says. “Is it because they need their ego stroked that quickly? And that’s how they are with everyone?”
“I don’t know, maybe there’s something to that,” Stassi says. “They need that attention right away, and it’s before they even get to know the person, and then they find themselves in this fucking relationship that they made happen. We just went along for the ride, like, ‘Oh my god, they’re so in love with me.’ There was no time to actually get to know each other and actually have a friendship.”
